Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Contractype collects, why it collects it and what you can ask us about it. It follows Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law 13.709/2018) and equivalent GDPR principles.

1. Who processes your data

Contractype is the controller of the personal data processed on the platform. For any privacy matter, including exercising your rights, write to hello@contractype.com.

2. What we collect

Identification data you provide in the interview: name or company name, identity or tax number, address, nationality, marital status and age, depending on the contract type.

Negotiation content: your interview answers, the mediated chat messages and the text of the agreed clauses.

Contact data: email address, used to send the room link, scheduling reminders and the final contract.

Technical data: IP address, access date and time and browser identification, recorded as evidence of contract acceptance.

We do not collect card data. Payment is processed by Stripe, which handles that data as an independent controller.

3. Why we use it

To run the interview, cross-reference both parties' expectations, mediate the negotiation and generate the contract as a PDF — that is, to deliver the service you asked for.

To send operational emails about your room, to process payment and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it.

4. Legal basis

Identification data and negotiation content are processed on the basis of performance of a contract.

Technical access logs are processed on the basis of compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interest in evidencing the authorship and integrity of the contract.

5. What the other party sees

Your interview answers are never shown to the other party. What enters the negotiation is the result of the cross-reference: the points of agreement, the disagreements and the agenda to resolve.

The identification details needed to describe the parties — name, document number and address — appear in the final PDF, as in any contract.

6. Who we share it with

Anthropic, for the AI processing that runs the interview and the mediation.

Google Firebase, for storing the room content and the generated PDF.

Vercel, for application hosting. Resend, for sending emails. Stripe, for payment processing.

OpenAI, for ad measurement: it receives only the record that a room was created or a purchase completed, with the amount — no contract content and no identifying details of the parties.

These providers process the data solely to deliver the service and may be located outside your country. International transfers are made with the safeguards required by applicable law.

7. How long we keep it

Rooms expire and are closed once the negotiation is complete. The generated contract and the acceptance evidence are kept for as long as needed to evidence the agreement and comply with legal obligations.

You can request early deletion at any time, except for information the law requires us to retain.

8. Your rights

You have the right to confirm that processing exists, access your data, correct it, request anonymisation, blocking or deletion, request portability and withdraw consent.

To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@contractype.com. We respond within 15 days.

9. Security

Access to a room depends on a private link and the identity stored in your browser. Connections are encrypted in transit and content is stored with providers that enforce access controls.

No system is completely immune. If a significant security incident occurs, we will notify you and the competent authority as the law requires.

10. Cookies and ad measurement

We use local storage and strictly necessary cookies to keep you identified inside a room and to remember your chosen language.

We also use the ChatGPT Ads measurement pixel (OpenAI) to learn which ads lead to contracts being created. It records events such as a room being created and a purchase being completed, with the amount paid, and may store identifiers in your browser to attribute those actions to an ad. We never send the interview content, the contract text or your documents to that pixel.

You can block this kind of tracking through your browser settings or a blocking extension without affecting your use of the platform.

11. Minors

The service is intended for people with legal capacity to enter into contracts. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The version in force is always the one published on this page, with the update date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated by email where we are able to contact you.
